AUSTRALIA-THAILAND SCIENCE DIPLOMACY PROGRAM: RESEARCH AND INNOVATION SYMPOSIUM 2016

        The Australian Trade Commission (Austrade), in partnership with the Australian Department of Education and Training in Bangkok, and the Thai National Science Technology and Innovation Policy Office (STI), Ministry of Science and Technology, are pleased to present the Australian-Thailand Science Diplomacy Program: Research and Innovation Symposium 2016. This program is an Austrade initiative to showcase Australia’s reputation for high quality education and research, and to explore education co-operation opportunities with Thailand in agribusiness and renewable energy and efficiency.

        Eight outstanding researchers from Australian universities and the CSIRO in the fields of agribusiness and renewable energy and efficiency, one executive from the Australian Department of Education and Training and Green Distillation Technologies Corporation will be participating to the Australia-Thailand Research and Innovation Symposium which will be held on 27 April 2016 at Grand Mercure Fortune Bangkok.

        The objective of the program is to increase the number of commercial research partnerships between Thai business and Australian commercial research organisations/universities, and to enhance research collaboration between Thailand and Australia by creating connections at a researcher-to researcher level in sectors of mutual interest. The program also aims to raise the profile of Australia as a country of innovation, a quality study destination, and to grow the number of Thai students studying in Australia.
