Business-Government Collaborative Forum
Electric Vehicles Forum in Thailand / April 26-28, 2017
Next-generation Vehicle Innovation Strategies:
International PPP Partnership for Local Capacity Development
Background & Scope
Thai automotive policies have focused on electric vehicles (EVs) and pursued the same supply chain localization strategies. These policies and strategies will result in partial success in the context of uncertain and complex next generation vehicle industry.
National Science Technology and Innovation Policy Office, Thailand and Fraunhofer Institute for Factory Operation and Automation IFF will organize Electric Vehicles Forum in Thailand. This forum will promote communications among stakeholders’, knowledge and technological exchange and inspire for future collaborations between Thailand and other overseas countries.
The forum will explore alternative innovation direction and articulate specific policy recommendations to build local capacities and hence accommodate the next generation vehicle industries in Thailand.
Purpose
• To share information amongst stakeholders.
• Collaboration and exchange of next generation vehicle technologies.
• Discussion on strategic implementation plan: funding for action plans, potential bottlenecks, task force team, leading to roadmap in the future
• Endorsing potential future action plans and milestones.
